The Markem® 5000 Series inkjet case coders are large character inkjet printers use to print text, logos, graphics, date codes, and scannable barcodes on porous and non-porous materials The 5000 Series can control up to 4 printheads with one controller and be networked to other coders and labeling systems. Depending on the model, the maximum print height is 2.56” (65 mm) and print length is 47.25” (1200 mm). The 5000 Series can simultaneously print on multiple carton sides.
The 5000 Series utilize liquid ink (Model 5400) or Touch Dry® hot-melt ink (Models 5200, 5600, 5800). Touch Dry® ink is instant drying, nontoxic and won’t smear allowing it to be used for corrugated cartons, chipboard, shrink wrap, plastics and wood.
