Mulch, bark, and wood chips are spread around plants to serve many purposes, including: water conservation, weed suppression, soil improvement, temperature moderation, erosion protection, a bed marker, and a neat appearance. They are typically sold by volume (cubic feet).
For filling small 1-10 cubic feet (1-5 lb.) bags we recommend the Tecweigh small volume auger feeder.
For filling larger 1/2 to 2 cubic yards (10-50 lb.) bags we recommend the ESP Model MCRS volumetric bagger (3 bags/min) or the Hamer Model 300VF volumetric bagger (35 bags/min).
To convey the bags from the filler to the sealer we recommend the ESP Model 500 conveyor.
To seal the poly bags we recommend the Packrite Model 6000 band sealer.
